QuickDraw 3D Windows Viewer Read Me

This simple application lets you open and display 3DMF files
on Windows 95/NT systems. 3DMF is Apple's cross-platform
3D file format and is also supported on the Mac OS.

The control strip at the bottom of the window lets you choose
how you wish to manipulate 3D objects.

These buttons are described here:
Camera viewpoint pop-up
- Allows you to look at the model from different pre-defined
camera positions.

Distance button
- Allows you to move closer to or farther away from the model.
Clicking and dragging the cursor downward in the picture
area causes the object to move closer. Dragging the cursor
upward does the reverse.

Rotate button
- Allows you to rotate the viewed object about its center.
When the mouse is clicked and dragged the object rotates in
the direction of the moving cursor.

Move button
- Allows you to move the viewed object parallel to the plane
of the window.

Home button
- This resets the camera's viewpoint to its initial position.

The QuickDraw 3D Viewer supports drag and drop of 3DMF files
into the window. While viewing a 3DMF model a new one can be
dragged into the window to replace it. This does not change
the contents of the previous file on disk, only the window's
contents.

The View menu contains options for changing the window's
appearance. The control strip can be hidden or made visible.
The background color around the displayed model can also be
changed via the color palette dialog.
